- Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores increase significantly when auto dealers use software solutions.
- Auto dealers report an increase in PVR (income per vehicle retailed) of $220 when using software solutions.
- Using software allows auto dealers to review missed opportunities, leading to overall improvements.
Overview
Auto dealers are using software to streamline the customer experience, responding to a demand for efficient service, and identifying areas for improvement through better access to sales data. This is leading to significant revenue increases of up to $220 PVR. Below you will find a deep dive of my findings.
Methodology
We searched for auto dealers that are already using custom software products to improve their business potential. There are a number of “off the shelf” software packages that are used within the industry, but very few dealers use custom software. While I have been able to identify case studies of dealers using custom software, the software companies have kept the details of their customers anonymous in most instances, and otherwise financial information about those customers is unavailable (so gauging ROI has not been possible).
